How Businesses Can Become Involved

Alberta is celebrating 100 years in 2005! As a significant moment in history we encourage businesses and organizations to create and implement a variety of events throughout the year.

Why Join In?
Banff and Banff National Park have a special place in the history of Alberta. As residents of this unique community we have an opportunity to demonstrate our pride in residing here.

Special events increase awareness and build pride in our community or your organization and give former residents, friends and family a reason to return “home”. Community celebrations and special occasions provide a significant economic boost to local businesses and the tourism industry.

When you and your organization choose to actively participate in our 2005 Alberta Centennial Celebrations you are making a positive impact to our community and our visitors. Benefits include:

  • Recognition and publication for this contribution through the marketing of Centennial Events throughout the year.
  • Ongoing support to assist you in the planning of your event. Workshops on “How to Organize a Special Event” will be offered and information kits with templates provided will be available, to help with the organization.
  • Partnering organizations who may have common goals for Centennial Celebrations.
  • Assistance from the Centennial Committee in researching sources for funding if required.

(The 2005 Alberta Centennial logo can be used to promote your activity as an official event of the Banff Lake Louise 2005 Alberta Centennial Celebration. This logo, according to provincial regulations, cannot be used to promote tobacco or liquor, promote racial discrimination or to promote a political organization or campaign.

We would ask that your event, and any use of the logo, be registered with the 2005 Banff/Lake Louise Alberta Centennial Committee so we are aware of all activities and we can assist you in the marketing of your event.
