The Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation respects your privacy and the privacy of all individuals and organizations that provide information to them, in part or in whole.

The Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation will advise you where your information is going and how it used when asking for it through this website. The main area where this takes place is the on-line version of the Banff’s Best Heritage Orientation Program.

Users may register and take the On-line version of Banff’s Best by viewing a video and answering the subsequent questions in the form of a multiple-choice quiz. The personal information required to register is sent to the Mountain Parks Heritage Interpretation Association (MPHIA), a Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation Partner who is responsible to deliver the Banff's Best Program and provide certification. This information is then handled in accordance with the MPHIA Privacy Policy which may differ from that of the Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation. To visit MPHIA please click here >> . Pins and certificates are mailed to individuals who successfully complete the program. Employers (if provided) may also be notified of the candidate’s participation and successful completion of the program.

The information may be provided or sent to the Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation and their webmaster for the purpose of monitoring the functionality of the on-line program and tracking the number of applicants who complete the program.

The information is saved in a file on the web server which is not accessible to the general public and secured through the website user name and password and is collected periodically by either the Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation, their Webmaster or The Mountain Parks Heritage Interpretation Association for the purpose of sending correspondence relating to the participation and/or successful completion of the on-line version of Banff’s Best.

By providing your information on this website, you are providing your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The collection of personal information on this website is limited to the necessary purposes identified by the Banff Heritage Tourism Corporation. Information is only collected by fair and lawful means.

Information provided within applications for the Banff Heritage Tourism Awards will be used to determine the winners of the award categories. Excerpts and judge’s comments may be used to promote the products and services of the nominees on www.banffheritagetourism.com.

Upon request, an individual will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of his or her personal information and shall be given access to that information. An individual shall be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.
